I used to have a pet nutria. His mom abandoned him shortly after birth and we took him in as a newborn. Awesome little guy. We kept him for about 3 or 4 years and then released him into the Amite. He started getting a little wild.

I shot this one with the .17 he's been digging out the bank of our pond. I gave him to a friend who eats them.

had to finish a doe off once and popped her in the head with my rifle. The eyeball flew out of the socket. We stomped it back into her head because it was too hard to look at. I have a picture somewhere, but this was before the days of the digital camera, so its in a drawer or something.
