Got me a truck yesterday and I'm looking to replace the tires with BFG All Terrains. eBay has some for about $1000 for 285/70R17, but I was wondering if there was a better place to get them.

Try Amazon. Got some tax free, free shipping last year for way cheaper than anywhere else.

$1000 seems high.

Try...

Eta- nevermind, $1k is about right. That's an expensive was tire for 17 in wheels. I would go with the nittos that meaux linked.

Got my current set mounted and balanced to some new wheels along with new pressure sensors. Free shipping and tax free allowed me to get all new Fuel revolver 18x9's for only a couple hundred more bucks than just the tires locally. Bought them from National Tire and Wheel

i found a '99 GMC Z71 close to Auburn. it's got high miles but it's been babied and all service records as proof. some old man had it. saved half of what i was willing to spend. now i'm just using the extra to "make it mine". it's in awesome shape for an 18 yo truck. i'm satisfied with my purchase.

Try tirebuyer.com. I've used them several times and have been very pleased.

Since you're checking tires online, I'll toss out some useful information: tires are a lot like guns, in that your local tire shop (as well as gun shop) has the same online access you do, and sometimes a little better. You might not see the best price on an ad, but a lot of the time, you can let them know what you're looking at, and they can order the tires for you, call you when they come in, and mount them. Never hurts to ask someone.

I recently did some tires for an older Miata (nobody stocks the size anymore), and checked online for a price. I was surprised that my local guy was able to get me a better price than I was finding.
