Where would be the best place to find some dirt fill around the BR/Prarieville area?

How much do you need? If just a ton or so, they sell 50 lbs bags at lowes/home depot for $1.50 a bag. If you need a truck load or more, check around at local plant nurseries.

i've seen free dirt on craigslist from time to time. Also, maybe contact some land clearing companies. I'm not sure what they do with the dirt they haul away when they're prepping for a home site but maybe they'll drop it off for a $100.

That is going to cost you due to trucking expense. Might just order a 10 yard truck load at the same cost/price.

Call a pool company if you're looking for free dirt. Although, I'd imagine there aren't many people getting pools dug in December.

Clegg's on Seigen in BR sells various dirts by the yard. I got a couple yards of river silt from them about a year ago to fill some ruts Entergy left in my yard. I think it was like $20/yd IIRC. My Chevy 1500 was pretty much maxed out with a full yard in the back. A yard of river silt is about 3500# depending on how wet it is. I wouldn't recommend that route if you had to travel far. I do believe they deliver.
