I need a charter so me and my pops can catch a few specs/reds, etc. Anyone know of a good one? TIA.

SW MS- Shore Things Charters (Bay St Louis)
SE La- Big Dog Charters (Lafitte)
Shore Things Charters are awesome. If it's a summer trip, they specialize in making the run to the Biloxi Marsh or Cat Island if that's what you'd prefer. Big Dog in Lafitte is a great outfit. We went with them in late September last year and limited on reds and caught probably 70 trout (35ish keepers) between me and another guy. I highly recommend either.

First Cast Charters
Capt Mark Munson
(504) 234-0775
Shell Beach, la
Great Capt that will fish until you cry "uncle". He has cheap lodging in a great camp too, if needed.

Try and get Matt Tusa as your captain.

Capt Sonny Schindler is legit too

For sure. Matt is one seriously badass coastal fisherman though. He's a great friend of my BIL, and they've torn up these waters their whole life.
Here's Matt's promo for a recent show he did.

I'll probably use those guys. 4 people, 8 hrs of fishing is ~$150 per. I'll see if I can get Matt, per your suggestion.

Shore Thing Charters. Go with Kenny Shiyou.
Quite possibly the BEST guide I've ever been with.
ETA....Tus and Sonny are good too, the whole works is top notch.

You may as well just book with them, and luck of the draw the captain since I'm sure they are all top notch. I just know Matt and have fished with him before.
ETA: Try to stick around BSL too. There are great places to eat and hang out. Trapani's for some fresh trout or flounder or steaks...Blind Tiger for oysters and cheese fries...both places accept smelly fishermen.

This^^^ Both those places are top notch. We also end up at Shaggy's in the Pass Christian Harbor a lot when we are down there fishing. Food isn't as good as Trapani's but it's a cool atmosphere for drinks, food, and hanging out. Another really really good eatin spot is Cuevas Bistro and it's in that area as well.

I've been to Shaggy's a few times. That's why I want to stay in that area. I work around that area once a year, but just never fished it.

They opened a new place to stay right on the coast. It looks nice, but I haven't been into the rooms. It's not a B&B like you'd think, it's much more like a nice motel. You can see the rooms are backset from the front building...

If I knew one of you guys wouldn't shoot me and drop me in the bay, I would do a swap fishing trip. I catch the hell out of bass/crappie on my home lake. I just don't trust you losers
