We have 12 Captains volunteering their time to take children fishing. If you have a special needs child who would like to go fishing, please inbox me or my husband Eric J Dumas Jr. Please let us know if they will be in a wheelchair or if they are mobile so that we have enough room for those who sign up. It's on a first come first serve basis. A parent is allowed to go with them. Also, any other children who would like to fish who is not a special needs child can get on the list. There will be a $20 entry fee for those children as we are raising money for a great cause. All children who fish will leave with a prize and memories to last a lifetime.

When Trevor was only 10 months of age, he was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a progressively degenerative disease which eventually claims the lives of its victims. It is the #1 genetic killer of children under the age of two. Trevor will never walk, and his disease will eventually rob him of his ability to swallow, breathe properly, and hold his head up. Since the day of his diagnosis, Trevor has accumulated surmounting medical equipment and household items to attempt to provide him with as normal a childhood as possible. Moreover, as Trevor continues to grow, expenses will continue to rise. To accommodate Trevor’s growth, he is now in the process of acquiring a new 420 pound power wheelchair that will cost a good bit out of his families expenses. The first attempt was denied through insurance but his mom will keep fighting it until it is approved.
