Cashiers/Atlanta area camping

Embarking on a Cashiers, NC camping trip but looks like it's going to get rained out. Anyone have any recs on what to do up there for the next 4 days if we get rained out?
Are there any other closer areas to Atlanta that would make a good 1day of 2 day overnight camping trip?
Thanks in advance

Get some rain coats and do it anyway... Pretty much everything out there is outdoors related.
Go into Franklin, NC. Find the hot spot gas station. Eat at Caffe REL.

Look at black rock mountain state park in north Georgia.

There is a campground called Cooper Creek, NE of Atlanta that is maybe two hours away and is really pretty. Not too far from Suches. It's been 10 years but the details should be on the web. Probably quite a few campgrounds like it, this one was somewhat off the beaten path which I liked.

What are your favorite car/tent campsites around here?

Yeah I love Cashiers but I don't know what to do if it involves not being outside.
As for N. GA camping, there are some public spots along Noontootla Creek sort of east Elijay that are good, just a little tricky to find (also may fill up). They're not backcountry, but they're still out there enough. As I recall there are about 5-10 off a forest service road, all big spots and spread out.

It's just 3 of us; we are planning to dig in deep for a few days. Nothing too crazy, but about 6 miles off the trail head. Just got up here now, weather not looking bad right now.
Thanks for suggestions, keep them coming. We're still deciding on a back up plan.
Should've just went teal hunting this weekend...
