Carolina Skiff J16 hulls

What's the OB's opinion of these boats ? I'll mainly be using it for marsh fishing.
I just sold mine, I started fishing more in Toledo Bend so I needed a boat to handle waves. It is a great boat if you know your limitations, Don't overload it and it handles pretty good and makes a great fishing platform. You can customize it all you want, just be sure to fill any screw holes with 5200 because water will find a way into the hull and saturate the foam. It is not as wet of a ride as you might hear if you drive it right and not load the front too much.
Thanks for the question, I'm looking into buying a boat for marsh fishing and a 16 foot JVX is probably the leading contender. Seems like a good boat for one person inshore, the wif on some trips. We plant to be living next to some Florida marsh in a year and I want something I can take out myself whenever I feel like it.
They run rough like a bathtub. I've fished out of one owned by a buddy a couple of times and hated it. I generally use a 13 foot Boston Whaler in the marsh and it handles wind and chop so much better than the Carolina Skiff 16. Personally, I wouldn't do it.

Fishing one all the time, very shallow draft. fast, but doesnt turn well, and they ride smooth for a flat boat, but very very wet.
Id get one over an aluminum any day of the week.

Are you looking at new or used? Be sure to check for any screw or screw holes that are not sealed. the hulls get really heavy if water gets into the foam. You would be surprised how much water can get in there and it is hard if not impossible to get out. They are a great boat to get on a budget, just do not spend too much money on it because it was designed to be a cheap affordable boat, that is where it shines.
