I wonder if the guys with those 3D printers could make Pmags. I bet that would clean up shop, given they use high quality polymer.

I bet it wouldn't be hard to buy several clips, cut off the bottom and weld/solder them together to make a large capacity clip.

I hope you're exaggerating about "clips". But I agree that magazines are simply metal or plastic tubes that could easily be built.

I have said since day one he does this through EO. It's coming our only hope is the USSC shooting it down as an over reach.
Care to explain how this is possible?

Part of this will be a ban on private transfers. If an individual wants to sell a gun to another individual, he/she will have to go through an FFL to do the background check. That gun would also be logged into some kind of database.

Tthe database is the bad bad bad part of this.

Seriously, a single sentence about considering executive action on mental health and updating ATF programs equals an Executive Order banning guns?

This issue is already losing steam and gun prices have already began falling in the past 2 weeks. Bottom line, nothing of any consequence is coming.

History shows very few Presidents have used an Executive Order. Of those, at least two have been overturned by the Supreme Court (a decidedly Conservative institution currently). Even if a law is passed requiring additional programs you can be sure the Republican majority House won't approve the funding to make it happen.

Don't believe me? Check out what's happened to Feinstein's positive train control Bill.

Everything you said was said about obamacare. How'd that workout?

Obamacare wasn't an Executive Order and was watered down significantly from it's original form. Healthcare reform was imminent regardless of political affiliation due to unsustainable spending in light of lengthening life expectancy and increasing cost of care. In addition, it was found to be Constitutional by the Supreme Court.

I agree with wilt. I don't think anything major happens, especially an EO. Reps still control the house and too many on the left don't want guns banned either .

Am I the only one who thinks the NRA keeps perpetuating these rumors to boost their membership and gun sales? I'm still s member and will continue to be, but I've been losing respect for them lately.

I don't think it's hearsay. The NRA may exaggerate on stuff a bit, but this has been the most serious time of legislation in recent history. I want them defending our 2A with all the power possible.

Can't do gun control by Executive Order I'm having a hard time figuring out how they (MSM) made the fricking jump from lunatic assholes shooting kids, and their fricked up degenerate parents, to guns and gun control so quickly. Those kids haven't been in their graves one month yet, but we're talking about banning certain types of guns, most of which haven't been proven to have been used in the most recent shooting. This one has me puzzled.

4. There us already a round limit on magazines in CT.

Has there been anything reported on the magazines used in the Newtown shooting? If there are limits in CT, did he actually have 30 rounders if they were illegal there?

While few presidents have used executive order, the few that do love to use them.

Did not count them all, but more than enough to worry me.

That would be the same as enacting a law. The President can't unilateral enact a law. The Supreme Ct solidified that position in Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. vs Sawyer 1952.
