What are some good campgrounds with cabins within a reasonable drive from Baton Rouge? Yogi Bear or Indian Creek? Others?

They're fully equipped with kitchens and usually sleep 8+.

Good luck getting a cabin here...I tried to book one a few months ago and all of the cabins were booked until like March.

ETA: Settled for Lake D'Arbonne State Park during Halloween weekend

What do you consider a reasonable drive in hours?

4-5 hours is about my limit...which puts a bunch of state parks in his reach if he is the same way...

South Toledo Bend State Park is pretty nice too.

I'm looking to do a few trips in the near future, but the first I would consider 2 hours as the limit.

The cabins book out for weekends months in advance. If you can manage to go during the week you'll find availability.

I live about 20 minutes from South Toledo Bend SP and it is nice but pricey IMO.
I am heading out to a kids basketball game but will send you a locally owned place or 2 on Toledo that may be of interest to you.

EDIT: Price window and size you need IE: how many folks you sleeping
