It's labeled as sync3 but the touchscreen software will be done by blackberry

They're not Dodge anymore. They're Ram. A different brand from Dodge. People haven't taken to that change and still call it a Dodge Ram....thus we get this hideous creature.

I would definitely consider a new Ram along with the F150 and 1500. My biggest deciding factor when buying a new vehicle is service from the local dealer. I go with whoever has the best service.

My work truck is a 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 SLT with 73K miles. Even though it isn't a base model, it isn't loaded up. I haven't had a single issue with it, and I prefer it over any other company trucks I have driven in the past (2006 Silverado, 2004 Ram, 2008 Silverado, 2011 Ram). The only issue is the majority of the Dodge dealers in the area suck, so I get most of my service done at Firestone.

My personal truck a 2008 GMC Sierra 4WD with 71K miles on it. Only issues have been an engine oil leak around 30K miles and a leaky shock around 70K miles. Service from my nearby GMC dealer sucks, so I doubt I get another truck from them.

FWIW Ram (dodge) topped the class in trucks this last year. in what? price?

I apparently did not remember the stat I had read correctly.

"The company’s Ram brand did the best of all Fiat-Chrysler divisions, beating the industry average with a score of 134."

clearly beating the average does not mean top of the industry.

I take it you haven't driven, ridden in one or even seen one up close since the 2010+ body style has come out.

Yeah, their qnx software and car applications seems pretty impressive.

After the MFT debacle, ford is going to be very careful in designing their updated infotainment systems

Had a Ram rental for a week... It drove like shite and check engine light came on, granted it was a rental, but it only had 12k miles on it. Was happy when it came on and I brought it back

Could not get over the shifter on the dash either

I have always had GMCs with zero problems. I currently drive a 2011 gmc with the 6.2. I've put 120k miles on it with zero problems at all. I drive it hard too, pulling loaded down trailers 3 hours up and down hills.

It's a failed company. The stock trading at $9.92 is purely based off of their enterprise software.

Alx, think he meant MSFT (Microsoft)

Immeasurable amounts of repair costs with the above. Get a Tundra.

MFT = MyFordTouch

It's widely regarded as a huge failure even though I really don't have any complaints about it from my truck or my wife's explorer

It was buggy at first and consumer reports really shite all over ford because of it and it's held a really bad rep ever since

My wife's Explorer has been fine and that's why I would choose Ford. I find it funny that Ford is catching shite over this when GM has OnStar. That's not only a dumb concept, but it sucks with butter on it even if you're dumb enough to pay. If not, you can't use the hardware at all. I'm getting mad just typing this.
