Butterfly Net? Question (Gift Related)

Ok, heard my brother in law talking at Thanksgiving about how he needed a butterfly net. It sounded like more of a cast net and not the small little nets I see online. It sounded like there was another name he called it too, but I missed it. Any recommendations on what this would be called? I figure this would be a good Christmas Gift.

This one is a little stronger than a butterfly net and should hold up well. Actually called a sweep net.

How much will that run me? I am venturing over from the OT so I assume that is entry level, right?

Would there be something you throw out like a cast net but has a different structure at all?
