I went out to Burbank Park Lake this morning for the first time. The 10' grass bed around the bank makes it difficult to throw anything but soft baits to avoid getting hung up. I threw black Gulp turtle back worm, a green pumpkin baby brush hog, and a watermelon pepper lizard with no luck. Has anyone pulled any bass out of there? What did you have success with?

Sidenote...there are a bunch of snakes out there...

That pond is no good way over fished. I think that is one of the ponds they stock with rainbow trout for people to pull out (this seems so wrong)
I live near there, pm me if you find a good spot in the area I might share mine.

It's probably been fished pretty damn hard like every other public area in BR to fish. Places like that I'd throw small light baits and work them slow. I'm talking like a tiny brush hog, mini lizard or finesse worm with a 1/16 oz bullet weight.

I've caught less than 5 fish in there and I've tried it a lot. I caught one not even in that pond but the smaller one right by it closer to Burbank.
