BRPD offering 'ladies only' concealed handgun class

BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge Police Department is offering a ladies only concealed handgun course in March.
The class, taught by police firearm instructors, will be open to all women over the age of 21 and cost $100. Participants must provide their own handgun and ammunition for the class.
The class will be held at the Joint Law Enforcement Training Center in Zachary on March 11, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Class size is limited to 35 per session, so those interested should register early at Baton Rouge Police headquarters at 9000 Airline Hwy.
The deadline for registration is March 9.

I paid for my S/O to get her's when I took mine. She won the women's shooting competition. She still won't carry, though.

Yeah mine will only keep one in the car....guess thats better than nothing but really doesnt do much.

Bapple was telling me that a bunch of people take the class but still don't carry. I think many people want the class to learn the laws and basics of shooting a handgun.

I met bapple the other night. I carry when I'm running errands during the day. Can't have pistol on plant property, and can't carry while drinking. If I'm not working, I'm usually drinking.

Unless you park in a gated parking lot at a plant. It is illegal for the plant to not allow you to leave your gun Locked in your truck. If yu do park inside of a security gate then by law the compny is required to provide you a lockbox option. Basically any parking lot that a person of the public could drive into and not show identification to get into to park would be a non gated parking lot and one that you can leave your gun in your truck
