Bring my dog to the marsh?

I'm hunting off Baptiste Colette this weekend. I have never been out there this early in the year and don't know what the gator situation is like. Can anyone fill me on that? I would love to bring my dog, but I don't want to chance it.

I did it as a joke one time when we were discussing face painting.... Of course all the insecure pussies on the OB take that and run with it. But who cares it's my dog, I'll paint him up like a fricking clown if I want to. And I dare anyone to tell me different.

I haven't hunted mine down there yet. Gators have been out in full force. I didn't hunt this am but my hunting partner saw 4 in one pond he hunted this am, and saw several in the passes while fishing afterwards.
I am considering taking mine depending on how cold it is.
