Any recs on manufacturers of boom sprayers? Looking for one to hook to my UTV and don't know if I should just buy one from Northern Tool or get a specific brand. Any feedback on what to look for, avoid, etc is appreciated. TIA

16' Boomless Spray tip

Boomless entire set up

Pull Behind

I don't know what you are doing to use it for but I'd suggest Boomless. It's much easier to handle

However if you are spraying in an open area, get the boom because it's much easier to control pesticide drift.

We have a 15 gal Northern spray tank on the back of an ATV for small stuff around the farm. It's great for spot staying around power lines and fences. However the 18' boom with 15 gal tank isn't enough capacity for larger open areas.

However the tank system from Northern has held up better than I thought it would 5+ years with no issue

If you can, go boom less. Lot less trouble in the woods and tight spaces.

Using it on My Kubota RTV to spray 4-11 acres. Basically lawn care to spray for broadleaf growing in the St. Aug. (Virginia button weed, dollar leaf). A few trees to go around but more worried about drift than anything else.

If you are careful about wind and use a little anti drift additive, boomless will work great and take up less space.
Even with a boom sprayer, drift will be of some concern and you can't completely eliminate it.

I'd look at a 25 gal tank, at least. You should do 10 gal/acre work and that larger tank will be a few less trips to fill up.

Fimco UTV Sprayer

Just bought the 65 gallon boomless version for my Ranger. Works great and I can spray all 6 acres worth of food plots in 1 trip. Definitely worth the money and well made.
