Brad was my neighbor and good friend. He will be deeply missed. We were just fishing together in Venice 2 weeks ago in the same place where this happened. He had just picked up a 24' Champion a couple of months ago from his buddy. I am still shock.

Ive seen too many of those work boats driving out of control like maniacs down in venice and in the basin. They act like they own the waterways.
Not blaming on them but ive seen them at fault before.

RIP Brad, prayers to his family

I have mixed feelings about those guys running stuff like that. On one hand they keep the channels open, mark runs, etc., but on the other we see what happens. From all indications Brad was a solid guy that had some unfortunate timing in an area with zero room for error for one boat much less two. God Bless the ones he leaves behind.

Man that is harsh. I hope his family can somehow find a way to deal with it and have some peace and happiness in their lives again.

It's a reminder of how fragile life is, and how quickly it can all just go to shite on you.

Sorry To hear Coot

A guy at my wife's work hunted with him here in Arkansas. She
told me about the guys buddy being killed in LA. I told her I thought I remembered a thread about a boating accident on the OB. I came to check and sure enough it's the same guy.

RIP Brad
