Is there a place in the New Orleans area to rent a boat to go fishing? Does not need to be big just want to do some weekend fishing near shore.

I don't know what to suggest as far as real boats, but Masseys outfitters rents kayaks. They even rent Hobies, so you don't have to trash it up with a paddle.

that should work, I know my uncle always tells me about renting boats when he was a kid but I did not think they still did that. A kayak should work. Thanks

I think there used to be a guy on LA sportsman that did, not sure if that's still true.

check out boatbound.com -- I think there are some boats around the area on there and its a legitimate website, all private party (I've rented one in Destin)

Nunmaker Yachts in Madisonville rent pontoon boats...you could either fish the river or the lake
