Not sure if we have a lot of Bluewave fans here. I just sold my 24' PureBay about a month ago and plan on going back to Bluewave in the future. What's your thoughts on the new model? Bet the price will be outrageous!

Pretty soon a 30' bay boat will be considered average

ETA: does anybody even make an 18' glass boat anymore???

That's pretty slick. I see that Nautic Star also just came out with a 26 Bay on their website.

It's definitely rare! It wouldn't be so bad if they wasn't the same price as a house mortgage.

Is it just me or does that not look 28'?

And what about power on those bigger boats? At what point do you start putting a couple motors back there?

Yeah I think at 28, I would definitely want duals or at the very least a 350

Yea thats the other I would like, which ever is cheaper considering they both are around 90k.

So they took it to the pine woods pond for pictures? Guess it is kind of like when vehicle manufactures hide the looks of a new truck? They don't want people seeing it at the launch? The 2018s are out dads 22 came in last week.

I just really don't get those giant Bay Boats. Even at 24' it's hard to go hit the marsh trolling for reds. It's just not that practical.

It's great for hitting rigs in the bays and gulf, but once you get around 24' it's less dual purpose and more geared for bigger water.

But they still have the same layout. Fishing off of raised decks in moderate seas is a pain in the arse sometimes. You don't need casting decks all around to go pull up next to rigs and tie up or troll around. I much prefer the layout of something like a Crevalle, it's better suited for a 26'+ boat.

Yeah at this size you're needing two boats again.

But I love seeing them hit the market, more used gems to be had soon.

Yep. It's really a Venice/Coastal/Islands boat.

A 24' isn't really hard to get around in the marsh. Most of the time, if the boat is too big, the water is too skinny anyways. My gripe on the 24' Everglades has always been the forward seating/deck area, which I've always found would be much better in a boat like these bigger ones we're discussing, instead of bigger flat flush decks like we see here.

Nautic Stars are built in north Mississippi. I'm guessing they just went to a nearby lake to shoot pics.

There must be a growing need for this size bay boat, but I don't see there is huge demand. It's too big to really marsh fish with, and too small to take offshore except on good days and you'll need a 3/4 ton to pull it any distance comfortably. It can be a great near shore boat. I really like the Bluewaves I've been in.

There's a growing need to have a bigger boat than your buddies
