Black Walnuts

Last year I mentioned that we have several black walnut trees and that if anyone in the Monroe are wanted some of the walnuts I would be happy to give them some. There were a few people interested last year but by the time I asked I think the state had already come by and picked them all up (they plant them and then sell the seedlings).
Anyway, if anyone wants some let me know. I will try to pick some up this weekend.

So they come in and take seeds from your property? Confused as to who "we" is in this case.
But that's some good wood from black walnuts.

I planted one from the La Ag seedling packet years, and It grew well, but the nuts are always rotten. The shell never comes off. Can you eat them, or is the tree just good for lumber?

You can eat them, but they are a pain.

They are better for fishing than eating.
