For those interested - Biloxi Marsh made for a decent hunt this morning, stout wind had the birds moving and numbers were markedly improved from this time last year (my opinion). After sunrise bluebird sky led to many flying at the 30,000 Ft. or above level, shut it down around 9:30 as a result. In total I guesstimate we observed ~100 or so as the morning went on. Ended the day with just 2 grays due to rusty aiming and poor decoy scheme.

Also - remember to tuck your bow lines in the boat before crossing MRGO at 4:00, speaking from personal experience: forgetting makes for a rather stressful situation.

You know it, picked one up at the swap meet last week. Can yall recommend a good thermal for my duck gat? Looking into a silencer and some monster decals too..I want to redefine flat bill hunting one mod at a time.

Stretch that bow line out and cut that thing off short of the lower unit.

Hunted my lease in hopedale this morning and had the best hunt of my life. I was hunting by myself in a separate pond from the three guys that I put in my boat in my normal pond. I have my 6 birds by 6:03. It was surreal. Finished with 24 at 7:30 because I stopped shooting and let my buddies finish their limits in the boat. I could have had a 4 man by myself by 6:30

By all accounts it was a great morning for most, our pond was just not what it usually is, all the folks I talked to got near limits.

And agreed, nothing worse than a constricted lower unit - range of motion is key.
