Is a stiffer pole more accurate than a flexible pole? I have a Shimano 1000 and like it. Throwing 1/8 oz small crawfish crank baits. Shallow, tight river where accuracy is everything.

I have a combo that I do exactly what you're describing. My favorite, by far, is a 6' Falcon Original Light Action.

Perfect rod for spots.
