Deer lease is over grown with briars, poison ivy, you name it. Looks like a jungle (all this rain) I can't even get to a couple of my stands. What is the best Chemical to use? The only thing I've ever used is round up.

i'm convinced Roundup aint what it used to be. in the old days it'd put the hammer down, i guess it's "commercialized" now...
or you have to buy the $150 2 gallon "Pro Roundup" at Home Depot for it to work.

Brush-B-Gone
Slow acting, but kills the shite out of everything, and keeps it down for a while.

$39.95 at Tractor Supply for 41% glyphosate. Same stuff as Round up Pro. Mix it 4oz per gallon of water. :nana:
Guess the price went up.... Tractor Supply $60

Roundup and 24D! Roundup will get the grass and 24d will get the bushes, briars, etc

Round up is now believed to be very dangerous.

The active ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup herbicide may be "the most biologically disruptive chemical in our environment," being responsible for a litany of health disorders and diseases including Parkinson’s, cancer and autism, according to a new study.
"Negative impact on the body" from glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup, "is insidious and manifests slowly over time as inflammation damages cellular systems throughout the body," according to a new study.
It's "the most popular herbicide on the planet," widely used on crops like corn and soy genetically engineered to be "Roundup Ready," and sprayed on weeds in lawns across the US. But in the peer-reviewed study published

This. And it smokes stuff when applied correctly.
I prefer 2-4D for pretty much everything except spraying weeds around the house though.
As for the OP, deer absolutely love briars. I'd think hard before nuking them.

Glyphosate (41%) plus triclopyr (trade name Garlon) in a 5% solution (6.4 oz per gallon of water). Most glyphosate a have surfactant system built in but make sure when you purchase. If not add at 0.025% a good non ionic surfactant.

I use the Walmart equivalent to roundup, 2-4-d, and a little diesel mixed with water. I have a 15 gallon sprayer that I sit in the bucket of my tractor and go to spraying.

Not that it matters, as long as it works. Say that cause I was wondering if you've ever noticed that too.
