Whats a good harness to use for climbing stands? I have an old hunter safety systems that i use for my lock on, but i dont think it would be easy to use while climbing. Looking for something that i can slide up thw tree easily as i ascend, preferably a rope as opposed to a strap so it doesnt get all twisted up as i slide it up the tree

I'm interested as well. I've been looking at the muddy safeguard harness.

I use a Muddy harness and it comes with the rope style attachment point that has a pre-made prussic knot on it. It is very easy to slide up as you climb. The only problem with this thing is the carabiner is fairly hefty... you can replace it with a much lighter version.

I have a summit and I like it a lot. It came with a rope instead of a strap and it goes up the tree pretty easily.

I have the muddy harness with rope style tree strap. Very easy to move up/down tree while climbing.

Get a rock climbing harness, very comfortable and if you fall, you will be in a sitting position instead of hanging by your shoulders

Well there's many good ones out there, but I use a rock climbing harness. Much quicker to put on and less of a hassle. They are just as safe as well

Another rock climbing harness user here. My set up is this from me to the tree:

Black Diamond Alpine Bod harness
Black Diamond Positron Screwgate carabiner
Beal Dynaclip 75cm
HSS rope style tree strap

It may look like it's complicated, but it's very simple, easy to put on, and comfortable walking or in the stand. Check out YouTube for videos regarding hunting with rock climbing harnesses.
