Seabrook isn't bad depending on time of the year, but it's not the most pleasant area to fish. Alot of people out there that think they know how to fish and drive a boat. Sometimes its worth it but be prepared to cast into other people's boats. Never been out there once that I didn't have to bounce a lure off someone else's bow.

Seabrook is done. Tough fishing in the lake. Head south to what used to be our coast on the Gulf of Mexico

You can load up on 11"ers at the Rigolets train bridge.

Lake Borgne shoreline from Alligator Point by the Chef all the way to the Rigoletts Pass. Fish every pass or cut that comes out of the marsh and into Lake Borgne about 30 to 100 yards off the bank to load up on trout right now all over 14 inches.

What kind of bait you using out there?
I'm still new to the game.
Also, what are my chances of catching trout from the shore in Metairie?

Plastic bumping it on the bottom in 8-20 feet. Live shrimp will also work but will pick up more trash with it too.

Updated spot--my buddies TORE the trout up today in Lake Pontchartrain at the entrance of Carr Drive where it empties into the Lake.
30°14'12.4"N 89°51'21.6"W

Matrix Shad bumping on the bottom with jig head. Trout are super thick their right now.

the first time I fished Seabrook, it reminded me of the scene from Jaws when all those yahoos were riding around and chumming. We caught some big trout though. Had about ten broken off lines on our anchor rope. Whenever someone would see you hook a fish, they were casting at yoy.

Is there enough room to bank fish along 90?

You will probably have a very close to 0% chance of catching a keeper trout, however, you should be able to catch all of the 7" croakers and hardheads you could ever want.
