I have the Beretta, and have a friend who would like to trade even money. I've had the Beretta about a year with 850-1000 rounds fired through it.

The governor has had about 100 45 colt and a box of .410 fired through it. good trade?

I'm not big on the gimmicky 410/45 combo guns. They would work great for snakes and maybe up-close personal defense, but I don't see any other crazy practical purpose for them that a regular handgun or shotgun alone couldn't do.

I wouldn't trade. But then again a lot of guys here hate the 92fs platform so they may disagree. But as a Beretta 90 two owner, I couldn't be more pleased with it.

I'm not a fan of the 92, but I wouldn't make that trade.

It has its downsides for sure. It's terrible for concealed carry, it's too heavy for a 9mm, it's as wide as a 400 pound hooker, and it doesn't have the best trigger.

But the damn thing works. I have yet to make mine fail. It just runs like a top.

But still, I wouldn't make the trade.

if you are just looking at MSRP, they are pretty close in value brand new. Actually, the Governor is a little higher

I definitely wouldn't make that trade. The 92 isn't a perfect gun, but I still absolutely love mine. I shoot it better than any other handgun I've ever tried. If you don't like it and want to get rid of it, that's your choice, but the 92 has more trade value than what you're getting. Even with it's flaws, it's a really popular gun that a lot of people want to own, much more so than one of the gimmicky (IMO) .410 revolvers.

The governor does shoot .45 acp and it is a really fun gun to own and shoot but I wouldn't own one as my only handgun. Once you have some practical handguns then so be it.

I hate the Beretta 92.

With that being said I wouldn't trade for a fakeass judge.

Precision Range just received a truckload of 9mm ammo.
You can buy as much as you want if you're shooting it there.
They will only sell you 2 boxes out the door.

EDIT - just noticed that you're out of state

Oh well then shite those things are awesome to shoot.

Buddy of mine had one and shot some of the .410 slugs out of them at bass pro. Idk if they're intended for those but it was quite the thrill

I think its a good trade, but that just because I don't care for the Beretta. Not that the Beretta is a bad gun, it just doesn't fit me right. I'd trade.

Beretta 92 = good nightstand gun, or truck gun.

Keep it loaded with good defensive ammo, with the safety disengaged.

I've had one for a long time. Haven't shot mine in years, but wouldn't get rid of it.

Poor CCW choice (bulky, heavy, DA/SA trigger and safety). The slide-mounted safety is in the way when racking the slide (clearing malfunctions).

But if you're OK with a DA/SA weapon, and can handle a safety that is "backward" from those on most handguns, it's a decent choice.

I would rank it below a Glock, an M&P, an HK or a SIG -----> but it's way better than a Governor for use as a SD pistol.

I would do it just to get rid of the 92FS as I hate the entire concept. Beretta is a shotgun maker - I like their shotguns. Their handguns - and I don't want to slam the people who love them - they're not for me.
