Going tomorrow to do a little fishing and I was wandering where some good spots were. I've fished on the bridge and the rocks near bridgeside marina. Looking to get some help from the OB with some new suggestions.

Way to rough to fish beach tomorrow
Just got back and it was filthy dirty chocolate milk/rough and has been blowing 20+

Best bet is behind island and try to find clear water out the wind

Good luck

Tried my hand at it twice yesterday, way too rough. I didn't get a single bite. I ended up fishing the side of the road and wound up with 5 reds and 6 specks. You have to move constantly, if you don't have a bite within 10 min. Move! I fish down there 1-2 a month and always bring home at least enough to eat. I know it is against conventional wisdom but I nearly always catch my fish at the end of the day as opposed to the morning.

I was out there 2 weeks ago and it was extremely windy. We did have some luck from Hwy 1 (on one of the small bridges). Key was to use live shrimp.

I just woke up at the camp. Set the alarm for 5:30 to go fish the surf but it was brutal outside so I went back to sleep.

Is it just me or has the wind been worse over the past couple of years? It needs to settle over the next month. I have a trip planned to GI for the first full week of June. I enjoy fishing from the boat as well as surf fishing. If the wind stays like this I'll be lucky to find clean water in the ditches.
