Stolen Ar-15's
63 Colt AR-15's were stolen from Shreveport. So if you are getting a hell of a deal might want to run the serial numbers first.

Related question: How do you go about checking on stolen serial numbers?

I'm in Florida and am looking at picking up some used guns from FloridaGunTrader.com (I'm CCW) but want to make sure anything I buy is not stolen.

it said they were only valued at $800.00 a piece. That seems low for a Colt.

I would call my local LEO and see if they would run the number for you through NCIC.

This was about where they are in B'ham recently; maybe slightly more.

The local news station originally reported "60 high powered assault weapons" stolen they had a "scary" picture of a black gun...

Someone skipped Econ that day... when you buy AR's by the pallet, they probably cut you a deal.

You'll probably find them at your next local gun shows for about $2400ea.

I always like to go to the comments to see what some of the far left leaners have to say.

Surprisingly, in almost every gun story when I've read the comments, pro-gun comments have been pretty overwhelming. Maybe people are waking up after all... At least I hope so.

This is a decent PSA thanks for posting. Are there ways of notifying the proper authorities if your stolen gun is used in a crime? I legit don't know...thanks

ETA: haven't had one of mine stolen but I figured some people might want to know

Um, not sure I follow. If you're gun has been stolen, and you've reported it, then was used in a crime and recovered I don't know what the protocol is, but I'm sure you're not getting it back.

Unless you've got contacts in the Mooretown or Cooper Rd area, you're probably not going to come across these

If a gun is found at the scene of a crime and has your prints and the serial number is attributed to your name when you purchased it and you haven't notified anyone that is was stolen I imagine you would find out pretty quick...
