Rumor and heresay as of now, but how awesome would it be to have one of these in the NOLA Metro area?

Trashiest Bass Pro shop ever

But I'd bet Johnny Morris doesn't pull the trigger...

It would beat it.. top two now are denham springs and Gatlinburg, slidell would easily surpass both of those, imo

Nobody wants to have to deal with Riverbound/Lakebound expressway traffic bro... Nor the cluster fricks known as the I-10/610 merge/split.

Then either they aren't looking for NOLA clients or they are hoping the w/e rush will do it for them.

I haven't been to many BPS's but I don't think their company plans call for stores in the middle of downtown metro areas. Their store footprint is just too big for something like that.

It wasn't planned for the "middle" of downtown, but very near the convention center up river. It was also to be like a satillite store of sorts. Thinking they were trying to grab some CC patrons, but Nagoon wanted to dip his fingers in too deep.

I don't see them building one in the Dell just 50 miles from Denham. I was the PM for the ads ham and San Antonio stores and spent a lot of time with the BPS group from 2006 to 2009 and have numerous war stories from that experience.

BPS doesn't own any of their stores with the exception of the Springfield headquarters. I don't see a developer ponying up the funds to get them there like the LP School Board did with the passage of the bond at Denham.

Just my .02.

I dont think it would resemble the one in Denham. It would be more geared towards offshore styles of fishing. There is one in Florida like it

Makes sense to me. I-10, I-12, I-59 interchange. Would draw folks from Hattiesburg, Biloxi, and the Westbank. Not to mention St.tammany parish is heavily armed. 42% of residents are gun owners. I'd have to think every time the cashiers ask you to input your zipcode, they are tracking where their shoppers are coming from. Just a thought.
