I'm looking at getting a larger scope for my Remington Model 700 Sendero .300 WIN MAG. I currently have a 3-9 Burris Fullfield on it that has been great. I'm need something with more magnification because I want to start shooting longer distances, 500+ yards.

I'm looking at this Barska scope and it seems like a good value, anyone ever use Barska?

I have a Barska spotting scope and it sucks. Don't know about their rifle scopes though.

Please don't do a disservice to that sendero and put a Barska on it. What's your budget for a scope?

Basically what Rize said. DO NOT cheap out on a scope for that rifle. If you want to stick with Burris, check out the new Veracity. Vortex makes great scopes for about $700-750. Leupold has some higher range magnification VX3 scopes that will all destroy Barska. Never cheap out on optics if you want to shoot at longer ranges and expect to do well.

Like most guns I buy, I really don't need a new scope just kinda want one.

I'd like to keep it under $600.00... I've been really pleased with my Burris and almost hate to change my setup, but I need more magnification. I've got a 650 yard shot picked out for next season, got the feeder setup

I know I'll probably have to drop a grand to get what I'm looking for...

If it's not needed now then wait 2 or 3 months and save a little more money. I would recommend a Leupold VX3 or Zeiss conquest in the 14-20 power range.

Burris E1

I love my Burris E1 3-9x40 Plex (not ballistic plex) on my .280. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore with the simple Plex reticle. I have a Fullfield II on a 30-06. Great scopes for the money.

With your budget, you won't beat the Zeis that Rize linked. If the over hits tomorrow, I may buy one myself to store in the safe for another gun in the future.

I have had a Barska on my .45-70 Buffalo Classic for the last 10 years and I like it. Never had to adjust since the first time I sighted it in.
