Pflueger Half Price

ETA: I've had good results with Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifiers and since you're new to baitcasters they have dual braking system to almost eliminate backlash.

Cabela's Arachnid is a Daiwa Tatula R with two extra bearings. It's on sale right now for $119. The Tatula is a little heavy compared to some of the higher end reels but it casts lightweight lures very well and handles saltwater well. For $119 you can't beat it.

Anyone use Pflueger reels?

I have a few Pflugler Superiors. Great reels, smooth casting, good distance. I would recommend them.

Do NOT get a pflueger baitcaster. The spinning reels are a great bargain but the bait casters are crap.

I use a citica as an all around saltwater reel. I got a lews I'm looking forward to using for reds.

Well shite. I dunno what I'm gonna do with the 10 Pfluegers I currently have. Some of which are over 10 years old. All of which have given me zero problems. SOB's have gone through hell and back and still cast extremely smooth.

Well maybe I bought one bunk reel. It's only one I ever owned and it's crap. Love the spinning reels. What pflueger baitcaster you own?
