our senior wanted to get her jeep painted for graduation. i told her she had to get her GPA back up her senior year (after a less than stellar junior year) and i would. well she did it and just missed banner roll with two B's with a full day of classes this year. She starts at mMcNeese in the fall with a 4.0

I told her to pick a color

the color (cosmic blue)

fresh out of the booth and un-taped

me and pops got her a few other goodies too- a new frameless soft top, some lamps and flares and we just put the BFG's on last week. i was hoping it would be done by the weekend but it ain't gonna make it.

While that looks nice, I much prefer the original color.

Decal goes on top of the raised sheet metal.

I wasn't going to say it, but yeah. Then again, I'm not a girl.

I would think charcoal would be hard to go wrong with but I'd let her make that call, she might want McNeese yellow(gold?)

You may also want to give her a customized hood decal.

I'd recommend it be a picture of you holding an assault rifle with a knife and "Touch her, you Die" at bottom

Both the before and after colors look good. I'm not one to mess with something on a car that isn't broke.. But I'm also a cheap arse. so

Good job dad, you do the painting yourself?

I agree on painting the plastic parts, it'll look like a new car.

You can also hit the flares with a hear gun and they will shine back up. Paintings and coatings tend to flake off after a while.

Or get her some flatfender style flares.

No, I haven't painted a car in over 20 years. I have professionals that do that for me. I do oversee the process though, I'm very good at that.

We (me, daughter and painter) decided to do a satin black grill to break up some of the blue. Looking at pictures online, we all agreed that it looked pretty damn sweet.

I'm going to let her decide on the decal colors but man, I sure hope she don't go with gold.
