What are you using?
Had an aquabot turbo t2 for a few years but it fell to pieces.

Looking at going with one of the many dolphin models this go around

Dolphin gives you the most bang for your buck and require very little upkeep. Just dump the filter and wash it out after each use. I have a small in ground pool 12 x 24, and the S50 does a good job. It is made for above ground pools but does a great job on both and comes in under $500.

I have a Polaris 360 that vacuums up debris pretty well. It doesn't filter, per se, but does a decent job.

I don't know if the best thing out there, but it came with the pool when we bought the house.

honest to goodness was gonna post something on this last week. I had for a couple of years the Polaris 3900. Do not buy it, it is a complete POS. I think all of the three-wheeled Polaris models spend most of their cleaning time laid over on their side or tangled up in the water cord. The mesh debris bag will not collect fine/small dirt or dead gnats.

Traded it back to Leslies on College Drive (BR) and got a little credit toward a new Polaris robot with tank treads, runs on insulated waterproof power cord to pool unit, does not turn over, maps your pool and it was spotless in 90 minutes. Also has a 120 min setting for extra dirty. The debris bin is sealed and collects fine dirt/bugs.

Mine does pretty good and I never see it over on its side. But when it craps out, I will look into the 1 you're talking about.

Just bought the dolphin premier about a month ago and it does a fantastic job and also filters. It was a little pricey but worth the investment because brushing the pool manually is a pain. Literally.

I have a Dolphin Nautilus Plus and it has to be one of the best investments I've ever made...seriously! It blows the old pressure side Polaris 280/380 out the water in terms of effectiveness. Climbs the walls, scrubs tile line, etc...just drop it in and in 2.5 hours you come back to a spotless pool. It even picks up dirt/silt with the fine cartridges....it really is amazing and the best thing is that it doesn't rely on your pump having to be on. Also has a 3 year warranty which rocks!

I would just get a Dolphin and be done with it, for the price, they can't be beat. Be sure to get the caddy too, it's very useful!

Polaris 360

our 3900 came with the house as well. everything I read on other websites indicated I had the company lemon and other, less fancy Polaris models were pretty decent. I think the 360 actually is the one everyone tries to find on Ebay b/c the 3900 sux.

Polaris P825

what we got sounds like the Dolphin robo, but was more expensive. Apples to apples, Dolphin sounds like the better buy

I use a pool cleaner that works off the suction. not many wear parts and I've used it for 4 years with $100 in replacement parts in that span.

Dolphin

Pinch-a-Penny Pool store had this one the other day when I went in. I have an older dolphin and it works great but cleaning the bag underneath the machine is a pain. When this one craps out I'm going with one of these. It's got to be easier to clean out with the basket on top and no bag.

Pentair Rascal although I call it the Terminator because of the little LED light it emits when it's running.

Was skeptical but doubt I'll ever be without one because I ain't getting my fat arse in there to clean it every week.

I've been using this one for 3 years now without a hitch. Replacement parts are minimal and readily availabe. The only thing I've changed so far is the wheels. They're rubber and scrub the bottom as it vacuums so that's just normal wear and tear.
