Basically using around camp. Looking for pros/cons. I like having a back rack for ease of loading deer on without lots of bungee cords. Never had a drop rack but seems like a nice option for carrying tools at times.

Around the farm or flat land the drop rack is great for throwing a small cooler or bucket of tools in.

Where I hunt, the terrain can be fairly steep. there I don't like the extended racks at all as it can put too much weight to the rear when going uphill.

The drop rack is nice but can get in the way if you pull a trailer around. Of course depends on the trailer but something to consider.

Had a kolpin drop rack on my rubicon and loved it. However, the previous two posters bring up great points. If it's loaded down on steep terrain it's dicey and, for me, when I was discing fields with a pull behind atv disc I had to take it off bc it was a major PITA. Removing it wasn't a big deal though. Otherwise, hauling corn, and tools to work on stuff it was awesome.

We use two formans

- use both for duck hunting - one with deep drop rack and one flat. The drop rack is perfect for duck hunting.

We use the flat rack foreman when deer hunting.

We put the drop basket on ours, and made a winch like below that comes apart to help load the deer. When you bayou self.

I have the 3" mini strong made drop on my Honda. Works great for all around purposes.

I have a drop on my wheeler used primarily for ducks and the dog usually rides in the drop.

Medium drop, not the deep drop.

ETA: I'm saying to get a medium, there are different "depthed" drop baskets out there.
