I'm looking for an atv (side by side)
I've never had one and would appreciate recs.
Polaris vs john deere vs Yamaha vs other
New vs used

It seems this would have been covered before but I saw nothing on a search- Thx

I've ridden in kubotas, gators, club cars, Kawasakis and Polarises. By far most comfortable and easiest to drive by all is the Polaris. Kubotas club cars and gators were at jobsites so they may have had different suspensions than the residential models but the 4 seater Polaris at the deer lease this yr was better than my z71 as far as comfort and ease of use. I was very impressed.

I'd rather a 4 wheeler than a side by side but if I did get one, it would be a can am commander. I wouldn't own any other atv or utv than a can am. Should be getting my can am renegade early next week and I can't wait.

I wanted something only a few years old, and my budget didn't really allow for a Polaris Ranger. Got a Yamaha Rhino and have been really pleased. No, it doesn't ride as good as a Polaris, but I've gone through mud that a buddy's Polaris couldn't make and the price was right. I got it with all the accessories I wanted and it still was cheaper than a plain Ranger with comparable hours/miles.

Look at the new mules. They'll stay at your camp much more than the shop.

Budget? If you just want something basic to get you in and out, Honda Rancher. I like having a 4 wheel drive, but even the Recon will do most everything you need for hunting. My brother has a Honda 300 4wd that my grandpa bought in 1988 or so. Zero work done to it. Just regular maintenance. I had a Foreman I beat the shite out of. Couldn't make that sumbitch not run. Don't have any experience with their side by sides. Have a Yamaha Rhino now. Pleased so far. 6 years in and no big issues other than those I caused. I'm hard on my shite. Been through 3 winches on it. Wife has a Kawasaki brute force 750 or some shite. Fine so far, but haven't put it through the mill like our others.

Four wheelers? I'm all Honda. Can't beat them for durability. They don't have the greatest ground clearance, but Honda is the pinnacle of the 4 wheeler world.

frick Polaris.

I have a Kawasaki & it's the most awful riding thing ever made. I also have a gator & it's the polar opposite. Just don't get the Mule.

Rangers are real nice to ride in when they work. But a Yamaha Rhino is the Honda 300 of the side by side world. 10 times tougher than a Ranger, easily.

Because they don't make them anymore and they don't have enough power to break anything. Got it.
