Are tires not as reliable as they used to be?

Generally speaking if course.

Just had to replace the 2 year old Bridgestones on my wife's 2015 Highlander. Rated for 65K miles and didn't even make 30K.

Now the dealership is saying the tires on my 2015 Ram need to be replaced. Goodyear Wrangler SR-As. 18K miles on my truck and I'm getting my second oil change so I tell them to rotate.

Wtf?

do you and your wife take corners really fast?

This alone will kill tires IMO.

My last set were terrible. 2 of the 4 tires got golf ball sized bubbles in the side walls.

I tried to see if they were recalled, but the dealer told me I was shite out of luck. This was with about 30K miles on them. They were rated for 60K I think.

I haven't had to deal with tires until the last year since I used to have a company truck.

I never seemed to have tire issues before but this is my first personal truck.

I have 140k+ miles on my truck. I'm at the end of my second set of tires (probably 10k left actually). Both sets rated at 55k miles. I've been happy with both sets. Bridgestone Dueler A/T RH-S and Cooper Discover AT3s.

We like it. She had a 4Runner before and for obvious reasons complains how she preferred how the 4Runner drove.

We looked at 4runners, Highlanders and Pathfinders about a year ago. For the longest time my wife wanted a 4runner but she wasn't impressed with the interior after we looked at them. Surprisingly she decided to go with the Pathfinder over the other 2. I was partial to the 4runner and Highlander but she was sold on the Pathfinder

That's expected from factory Toyota tires. They put the softest tires available on their vehicles to make the ride smoother. My wife got 19k miles out of hers on the sequoia. I replies them with 70k tires.
