Not sure if folks will be throwing down like in years past to participate.

I heard they were still having it but something like 75+ companies have dropped out. Might be slim pickings this year.

It's on. As of 3 weeks ago they only sold 2100 of their 3000 tickets. That is the 1st time I am told in 12 years there are tickets available. There is usually a waiting list. Still to many people for that building. No thank you

Because half of them are on the verge of bankruptcy right now

Yea it'll probably be pretty bleak the next two years.

That and I think a lot of them take it as an excuse to get out with a good excuse without it looking so bad to their customers. That event has gone downhill as of late. There are no more decision makers that attend it, they all do the fourchon oilmans instead. Now it's majority yard hands and companies would rather be smarter on who they are spending their money on.

Another good indication of attendance can currently be found in the sportsman classifieds right now. There are quite a few adds showing camps for rent for the oilmans. I don't think I've seen any available in the last 15yrs. for that weekend!

When is it? I've been the past few years in the kayak but can't remember the dates.

My Parrain won a 22' Skeeter bay boat about 4-5 years ago. I may go this year just for the raffles.

Thanks for the reminder, I'll remember not to speed on 56 during it this year.

With the way things are going, they may be giving away pirogues.
