I usually carry a G43 w/1 spare mag for ease of use with my G42 w/1 spare mag as my BUG. These most recent attacks definitely make me reconsider my setup and I may go back to carrying either my G23 or G19 w/2 spare mags and my G43 w/1 spare mag as my BUG.

If you are in a well coordinated complex attack you will wish you had the additional firepower and obviously a handgun is only there so you can fight your way to a long gun.

Lastly, to any Moslem dirtbags: I'm waiting for you in Texas.

Nah. Odds of being involved in a terrorist attack on American soil is astronomical and mot worth my concern.

I will just stick with my cz-85 for protection against the standard run-of-the-mill thug.

you are so unlikely to have to fight your way to a long gun that even reading this makes it sound ridiculous unless you live in tikrit. yeah I know we should all be prepared blah blah blah but cmon man

just carry what you want to carry understanding that on the 1% chance you actually use it you are not going to be in a firefight. There were four gunmen in that theatre each with a FA AK and multiple mags. You were not going to make a difference with any sized glock in that scenario

No I carry a smith m&p 9c. Full apex. Trijicon inserts in Novak brand sights. I sometimes will stick a fullsize mag with an x grip in my pocket. Always have a knife.

My question is why in the hell are you carrying two guns with such a low capacity? Obviously it's your choice and j get the better than nothing deal but what is that 26 total rounds after 2 guns and 2 reloads. I guess I just don't get this idea.

I open carry my AR slung across my back, Colt 1911 on my hip snub nose on my ankle and .32 "get off me" gun in my pocket. I always stand or sit in corners back to the wall and facing the entrance. Nobody is gonna get the drop on me

How did that Apex help that M&P 9c? I have one and have been on the fence about trying getting the apex kit.

I'm assuming your talking about my setup where I carry my G43 and G42 each with +1 and 1 spare mag for each? Yes they are both low capacity (so are 1911s FWIW), but it's more about where it's positioned on my body. There's a myriad of possibilities and I like having the flexibility. Secondly, everyone should carry a BUG in the off chance you are somehow disarmed (by whatever means) from your primary.

A large group of terrorists would never attack in the South. They may kill a few but would get gunned down in short order.

Paris is a great example of the importance of the 2nd Amendment and concealed carry.

I really talked myself out of getting my ccl. I'm considering it much more strongly now.

They tried in Texas last year. Got dealt with quickly. The next attack will be in a large northern city with gun free zones everywhere.

4x4 beat me to it -- they tried in Garland, Texas last year. Fortunately, there were armed cops on duty at the event the event where the Muslims tried their attack.

We saw "The al Qaeda Tapes" about 8 years ago at a tactical conference in Memphis. The militant Muslims have been training for years to take over soft targets (shopping malls, movie theaters, hospitals, schools, churches, etc.) and kill as many innocents as possible.

If you never leave your home, all you have to prepare for are thugs intent on committing a home invasion .................. If you go out in public, you can add terrorists and wannabes to the list of potential threats.

This problem is only going to grow -- especially when Obama allows thousands more middle eastern refugees to settle in the US.
