Any chance we can get a link or screen shot of said picture, so we don't have to sort through 25 Plexus Slim pushers?

Yeah, that melanistic cat really gets around. I've seen the same pic posted many times, and it's always a different state. So far, the same cat, same pose has been captured on a trail cam in Tennessee, NC, Georgia, Missouri, Michigan, Arkansas, Virginia, Florida, and now Louisiana. Haven't seen it in a while on the internet, though. I guess it's traveling to another state... If it shows up at Nascar's pond, then I'll believe it.

That picture isn't a panther, I am pretty sure, I think that is a leopard or maybe a jaguar.

you can see spots on the insides of its legs and under its chest, Panthers ( cougar, mountain lion) whatever you want to call them, don't have spots and the head is shaped very differently.

File it away with the pic of the mountain lion dragging the buck.

I know they aren't usually black, but I wouldn't say it's impossible that a black one could exist.

Jaguars and leopards aren't usually black either, but some do happen. Still though, they have the spot pattern deep in their coat.

If there was a black panther, he wouldn't have spots.
