We never have ticks, our dogs have been on flea only preventative for years without issue.

This year we have seen a ton of ticks. I was mowing earlier and pulled two of them off after rinsing off.

Another thing, tips for keeping the dogs clear of them?

Vet can give you pills or I've seen a collar that the dog wears. Maybe get one of the tick keys too.

Yes, there is a new one out. My daughter gave me two for my dogs. I see ticks on them more in the winter then summer. Anyway, after about 4 months, both have been tick/flea free. These collars suppose to last I think 9 months. I have the cans that they come in in my shop and I will post the info tomorrow. Oh, they ain't cheap, but I do find they are better then the oils I been using. Both dogs hit my pond 3-5 times a day with no problem there.

Oh, my dogs run the woods a lot too!

No more problem with blood sucking parasites since we broke up. Try that. Worked for me.

We have 2 that just recently hatched about 10-11 chicks. This was our first time going through this and unfortunately we had trouble catching them and they quickly started disappearing. We only managed to catch one which we are raising in a brooder box right now. Long story short, I almost had some to sell you, maybe next year lol

Dammit
How hard are they to take care of? My house is on 3 acres so I feel like they have plenty of room and plenty of bugs to eat but idk what else it involves. I have raised ducks and geese before so that is the limit of my experience.

They really take care of themselves for the most part, we have had them 4-5 months so far. We have 2 acres, they rome around the yard most of the day, sometimes the neighbors yards. A smaller portion of our yard is fenced for our dogs, we have always kept chicken feed out for them near this area. Every evening it never fails, they hop into the fenced part of the yard and go up into the same tree to roost/sleep every night. They are not like chickens and do not like to be cooped and they are loud as hell when they see something they don't like. They are interesting to have around for sure.

ETA I'm sure they could do without the chicken feed but my wife likes to make sure they know where they are fed
