About the only negative is that the cover gets very hot to handle in the summer.

Just pulled the trigger on a Bakflip HD. Should be here Monday. This place costs me more money than just about anywhere else.

I got one last month and like it. I appreciate the weather protection and security with a locking tailgate.

PSA - Do not install it while drunk or your peel-n-stick gasket may snake around a look crappy. It has not leaked yet, and they sent me a new gasket at no charge. One day I'll put that new one on straight.

Any idea on how much, if any these improve gas mileage? I'm guessing 1-2 mpg better? thanks

I think they may help with highway mileage some but city driving I doubt it helps at all.

I think mine had only improved about half a mile per gallon in the city

Have had the same soft cover version since '08 Tundra. Same cover is on current '11 Tundra. Only use it when loading the bed with luggage/hunting gear. Cheat it towards the tail gate some and it never leaks. Have broken two hinges since I've owned it. Call the manufacturer and they'll send you free replacements. They even paid the shipping.

I looked at that one pretty hard but decided against it after talking to the rep. Its either all the way open or all the way closed, no in between like the flips. Also the cover is vinyl and requires a lot more care to keep in good condition.

Install on the HD was a breeze. Took 15 minutes and that was with one of the old lady's friends stopping by and interupting. Very nice product. Might take pictures tomorrow if I remember

If you are in the market for one of these, do yourself a favor and order from Tonneau Factory Outlet. I called, as was recommended on this thread, and got a great price. Called on Friday and the guy said since I was in Houston I could just pick it up at their warehouse. He quoted me $689 for the G2 and then said, since you're picking it up, I'll knock an extra $20 off! So $669, no tax, no shipping. It was ready Monday morning after 10 and me and my son put it on in less than an hour. Also just got my bed sprayed with Toff liner last week for $375. Add that to my WeatherTech floor liners and my Du-Ha box and I'm quickly running out of money buying shite for my truck!! Think I'm done for a while, yeah right!!

Mine is starting to leak more also.

It is also starting to delaminate.

Probably gonna go back to a metal cover next go round.
