Anyone have advice on Honey Bees.

Got a colony in a large Oak tree. I know they are great for the environment and mostly harmless. My question is should I do anything with them, call a beekeeper or just leave them alone. They have a hive in a broken tree limb. Wish I could get up there, drill a hole and get the Honey out.

If they're high up, no issues with them whatsoever. But if you'd prefer them to be gone, you should contact local bee keepers. One of them may come and get them from you for no charge.

This!
Whatever you do, please don't poison them.
ETA: heck, if I knew what I was doing I'd come get them myself and put them next to my garden.

Leave them alone. Buy some honey from a local beekeeper if you want some. You would have to remove a large chunk of tree to get any significant honey. Not that easy to get them out of a tree in most cases, They aren't bothering you, don't bother them.

Leave them alone. You would probably have to destroy the colony to get the honey. Go online and read about bee keeping. Enjoy the feral colony.

My dad has bees and traps them for people. Usually someone will have a phone number on Craigslist, among other places maybe check Facebook. If it's easy many times they'll come out and do it for free.
The key is getting the Queen. But if you want some honey you usually don't harvest it until late Summer.

Let them be. If you want them gone someone can catch most of the bees but the queen would probably die. You can also have a beekeeper put out a bait hive in case they do end up swarming.

What if they are trying to get in your house. Would you still wait.
