How much of a PITA was it? How'd it hold up? And how much did it cost you?

Is it for tight garages or something?
I used to have a neighbor that would completely flatten hit 4 tires to get his CC w/T-top in his garage

I have one, but was installed already. I love it. it gets you that extra little bit of room. its easy to use.
I also like that it gives me a little extra security. I remove the pin for storage. not that a thief wouldnt or couldnt tow it off, but gives that little more extra theft deterent.

you can buy the hinge kits from boat trailer supply sites online. Make surey ou know your toungue size.
You will have someone cut the tounge and then weld on the hinge. Not a big job, should be an hour or less at a good welding shop.
They do sell bolt on as well, I would go with the welded.
ETA: Looks like they run about $60 for the hinge. Fulton is a reputable name brand

Thanks. Any idea what a going (reasonable) rate would be to have the trailer cut then weld on the hinge?

Sounds like a good reason to build a new (bigger) barn.

I would expect to pay about $100 plus cost of the hinge.
