I always heard a man needs two guns cause the barrel gets too hot.
You need 2 guns bc you can't keep up. You shoot, swap guns with the young Hispanic boy that reloads for you, shoot again

I will echo what Da Hammer and others have said.
Went with H&H Outfitters
Flew into Cordoba
We brought our own guns but it's easier to rent
We went in Feb (their July) so there were no grain crops ripe
We hunted the roosts, not the feeding areas
Shot from 9 am to noon. Then field lunch and nap in hammocks. Then shoot from 2 to 5. Then return to lodge.
Eight of us killed 32,000 in five full days of shooting
I want to go back to do pigeons and waterfowl

They round up all the easy ones to get and disperse them to the villages.
I figured this was the case. Damn the bird population down there must be unreal. These hunts have been going on for years and still too many birds.

So you're selling a trip for 3 for $1500? Or $1500 each?

Outstanding dove, duck, perdiz at
Estancia La Criolla in Santa Fe.
Most folks go to Cordoba region. I prefer this outfit because of the close proximity to great duck hunting as well.
Owner is Tomas Druetto. Great people. First class.

Ramsey Russell
We're doing an afternoon of doves, an afternoon of perdiz, and four or five duck hunts. I went through Trek Safaris before, but Ramsey seems to have his act together.
Does Ramsey put on a pretty good trip? Also, trying to figure out what to budget for shells. At $14 per box, I was thinking 3 cases for the afternoon dove hunt (I don't really NEED to break any records, just want to enjoy myself and I figure 750 rounds should scratch the itch). I figure 3 or 4 boxes per hunt on ducks (25 ducks per hunt, per person as I understand it), and a box or two on perdiz. I know my shell tab last time was about $750, but that was just for ducks.
That sound about right?

Whatever u do - dont use Myers Goldman and Brian Espy. My buddy is down there now and its been a nightmare.

What kind of issues is he having?
Posted on 6/11/17 at 6:57 pm to wickowick

Now you've piqued my interest. Most of these seem so established and repetitious from an operations standpoint, I'd be curious about how something could go wrong.

I will post a detailed wrap up upon their return to the states.

For TheGreat318:
Ducks used to be 5 boxes of shells was your limit at Lodge Jacana however that isn't close enough to do doves/ducks/perdiz. So you are going to a different estancia.
In my opinion you don't go down there with a shell budget you go down shoot until you are tired and stop, then deal with the bill at the end. If not your idea seems about right but I would still plan on going over budget on shells even if you "plan" it out.

Thanks, brother. Appreciate the insights. Just trying to avoid that shell bill sticker shock.

Wow.
Went with them 2 years ago and had the best time imaginable. I will admit Espy was a little 'dry' but I found out all I needed.
We even had a last minute issue come up that they helped us through.
Very curious to see what the issues were, as I would have recommended this outfit.
Birds galore, good food, beds comfortable, lodging plenty nice enough. Good Guns for rent that went to gunsmith daily. Many good times where had sitting under the pavilion after dinner or after morning hunt, too.
