Any relief in site for the .22 ammo shortage ?

A couple of months ago I thought it was getting better and was starting to see a little in stock from time to time in Alabama, but it seems to have dried up again. How's the situation in Louisiana ?

The only stuff I've seen at Academy here is the
Super Colibri .22 20-Grain, which won't cycle a semi auto rifle.

Any recommendation on sites ? Midway USA has good prices but almost always out of stock...same with Cabelas. Most of the other places are charging about double.

Midway had plenty in stock as of 3 minutes ago (of course that can change).

I see it there on "delivery" days only and they still have a 3 box limit. It's usually only 50 round boxes. I'm not wasting my time for 150 rounds.

Agree...when I shoot the 10/22 I usually go through 300 to 500 rounds in a day. That's what was so great about 22's. Used to you could shoot all day for 10-20 bucks. Not so any more

Went to Cabela's and they had plenty of 22. Had a shelf stacked with it. I bought one box of 333 rounds.

I can get .22lr ammo on line almost every day for less than .07cpr shipped to my door...I quit buying months ago because I'm at 30k rds. and still have about 7k on back order that will eventually ship from Midway...

that being said...most retailers are holding back for Black Friday deals and Christmas sales...They can't very well sell someone a .22 to give as a Christmas present and not have any ammo to sell them with it...

I'm gonna open a Cabelas or BCS on the NorthShore or just on the other side of the Mississippi state line from Slidell.

How can the people who make those decisions not see how badly one is needed in eastern end of the state or far West Mississippi?

Academy on Covington has consistently had about 5 different kinds with plenty of stock in each for the last few months. IMO, there has been plenty of relief.

Fuuuuuuuuck. I'd be bankrupt in 90 days.

Or, I could just apply to work there.

1 minute from my house? I'd take it!

Dang! Best I have found is about 10cent per, before shipping. This on 500-1000 rounds. Where are you buying, if you don't mind me asking?
