Looking to get a set and wanted to get some opinions on them. How is the road noise? How do they perform in the S.LA mud? Do they shed the mud easily? I know they arent boggers or anything but would like a more aggressive tire that could get me through some mud.

Have about 35k on mine, noise is a little noticeable over the street tire all terrain wanna be's that came on my truck. After I had them on I found easily able to get traction in 2WD in areas that I was previously spinning and needing to put in 4wd. Never put them through any deep mud but I don't think there's a better tire on the market that will ride as well on the road and provide traction off road.

...BFG KO2 vs Toyo AT/RT thread...
Both are the best of the best TD OB picks.

i have them on my f150 for 15k miles. i second what Tbooux said.
The only negative is they grab rocks very easily.

thanks for the info. just the kind of feedback i was looking for. and yeah I dont intend to put them into deep gumbo mud but low surface mud id like to be able to go through without too much trouble.

good to know they ride on the street well too. Do you know what they are rated for? 50k miles?

Mine are on a F150 have 30-35kk miles on them and doesnt look like they've worn 50%, last set I had went 55k before I sold truck and still had plenty tread left. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

I've have a set on my F150 right now and they've currently got 54k miles on them. Should easily make it to 60k rotating them every 5-6k miles.

Are you putting them on a full size?

I have some on my Tacoma. Can't wear them out on the lighter trucks as long as you keep them rotated. Knocked off around 2 miles on my MPG. Like others have said, they attract rocks like a magnet.

I have those tires on my '99 Ram, '04 Jeep Unlimited and '06
Jeep Wrangler. The Ram and '04 Jeep have the old style sidewall the '06 Jeep has the new style.
Have taken the '04 to the yearly Jeep USA Jamboree up in St. Francisville a few times and did very well. Of course if it's very sloppy there isn't much you can do. Haven't had the '06 in a real off-road environment with to newer design sidewalks.
As for wear my first set on my '04 Jeep I got right at 80k.
This was my daily driver with a 90 mile daily commute.
Correct tire pressure and faithful tire rotation is the key. I did a five tire rotation. Makes a set last 20% longer.
Tried Mickey Thompson and Toyo all terrains. BFGs are my go to tire now. Just my experience I'm sure others have had different experiences.

Got em on Chevy 1500. I don't even notice the noise. I've had em in some pretty muddy roads and have done great. Best tire I've used so far.

I have em. Been running kos for years. The old design also grabbed rocks.

These have been equally great. They are heavy. I went through a hole on a lease last year I just knew I was fricked on. Made it there and then had to come back when we came across a tree that blocked the route around.

Really pleased. They look good as well.

If I bought another truck I'd try to make sure they had 17 inch wheels so I could swap em to the new ride

I find that hum a lot more than my previous TOYO AT2 and aren't quite as smooth. I probably won't buy another set, but they are nice tires.

I had a set on my old f150 and I liked them a lot. I had 30k on them and they were about half worn. I will go with toyos more then likely next time. like pogey said they have a little road noise and mine rode rough but any e rated tire will.

Just finished off my first set of BFG KO2s on my F-250 and got 85,000 miles out of them and probably only rotated them 2-3 times in that span...nothing like I should have.

I just put a second set on my F-250, after getting 85,000 out of the first set I was pretty darn happy with them. I haven't done any extreme mud riding with them or anything but I do frequent muddy construction sites and have yet to get it stuck anywhere

I have a gravel driveway and I feel remorse for every person who gets stuck behind me for the first 5 miles or so after I leave the house

I have been running on different 2500 HD trucks since '99......with rotating them every other oil change, I get between 85,000-90,000 miles out of a set.

I love em!

Just put a set on last week, couldn't be happier with them

Made a trip to Destin and the noise quality is outstanding and the ride is even better
Like the others have said you won't be disappointed with these shoes
