Caught one young and am trying to see if I can tame him down. So far seems to be a spawn of Satan. I've had a mini pot-belly that lived inside, so I do have experience with the lil oinkers, but this dude is pretty restless.

Then put it in a pen and feed him some corn. He'll grow, then put a .22 bullet in his head and make some rice.

Just don't let your kids name the thing. If that happens you'll be explaining to them why "babe" is for dinner.

I run traps in Clinton. But they were empty. We ran this one down and caught it by hand.

We caught one at young age also. Our plan was to to fatten him up and eat him Opening Day Eve. He got tamed real quick. Ended up naming him Homer. That fat arse would follow you to the deer stand like a dog.

Family used to raise pigs on the farm in Nebraska. We would go to Iowa or Kansas to get fireworks on new years or 4th of july. Used to shoot fireworks at dumbass pigs. Fireworks did not phase dumbass pigs one bit.

What I noticed years ago when used to do a good bit of hog catching was if they had some blooded hog in them they would tame down fairly easy. But if it was a full blooded piney wood rooter the damn things usually stayed meaner than hell.

It'll never make a pet like a pot bellied pig. It can be put in a pen like others have mentioned and make a good meal. That's about it. Pot-bellied pig =\= a meat pig.

I dont know if its just potbellied pigs, but I've heard that pigs are just like dogs. They can be house broken and the whole 9 yards.

Oh yeah, uh...make some rice
