Did you mount it direct to your transom or buy one of the brackets? Looking online, seems like a lot of people mount them straight to the transom. I just picked up a 2012 model for a steal.

I have two on my 18'8" Ranger . Just put them on a couple months ago. I used the brackets so I could put the folding bracket on to fold them down to store in my boat garage. I've been very happy so far, but the brackets do create drag when getting out of the hole. That's the only complaint I have at the moment.

I got the 12' about a year ago. No problems no complaints.

I found mine at a used stuff/goodwill type store for $25. It's getting power and I can hear the motor running but the pole isn't extending. Hope it's an easy fix

Universal bracket on my jack plate. Easy install

Installed mine on a bracket. I need to bring mine in though, last trip out i couldn't get it to deploy. Same problem as mentioned above. It sounds like it is running fine but the pole won't deploy.

It could just be mud dried up on the inside, try flushing it out. It's likely a burned up clutch though.

What's the price on a burned up clutch? I bought it used and not thrilled to put money into it.

Not sure. Mine went out several years ago, but it was covered under warranty. I doubt it's too costly.

I Fiddled with mine today and got it working. Pulled off the motor, and there's a 1/2 inch nut that is between the clutch and coupling. Held the coupling closest to the wire spool with a pair of channel locks and tightened up the nut with a socket. Works like a charm now. Best $25 I ever spent
