Any of you Arkansas posters know much about the Buckner area?

I've got an opportunity to get in a lease near the Dorcheat area east of Buckner. Just wondering if anyone knows much about the area.
I've heard it's an area with a lot of deer but not known for big deer. And I've also heard they kill a lot of big bucks in that area.
Anyone hunt near there?

As the resident expert of southwest Arkansas I can answer you're question. There are a ton of deer there, fair amount of hunters, and some absolute MONSTERS! I have hunted from Waldo to Lewisville and there really are a ton of deer and plenty of really good bucks. Loved hunting there!

There are good numbers of deer in that area. If the lease is management minded you should have a chance to kill really big bucks. The Southwest corner of the state is turning into a trophy hotspot.

My duck lease is just down the road from there, near Lewisville, AR. We have one metric shite ton of deer, and they kill some absolute monsters back in the bottoms. Arkansas Game and Fish Commission have actually asked us to help thin out the doe herd.
