Anybody drive a 2011 and newer F250 with the 6.2 gas engine? Thoughts? Fuel mileage? Found what seems like a good deal, drove it and thought it drove well. Not sure about a gas F250 though.

Go to "Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums" they usually have a repair, modification, or write up on any issues, upgrades you may need.

I have a 2011 F150. Big rear end and trailer thing package. 35" tires.

LOVE the power and torque. I'm 90% highway and get 12.6 mpg.

No issues so far.

We have quite a few in my work fleet. 2012 and 2013 F250 CC long bed. On average for the highway driving we do, most get between 12 and 13 at best. If you hook a trailer to it with any amount of weight, your are lucky to get 8. They are reliable, we have not had many issues with them besides standard maintenance things. I did get 14.2 on a trip from Macon, GA to West Monroe but that is the best I have seen.

Thanks for the info. I only drive my truck 4000-5000 miles a year, so fuel mileage isn't a huge issue. My main concern is reliability.

I have a 2014 f250 6.2 gas and have racked up 75,000 miles on it already without a lick of trouble besides routine maintenance. Get about 12.5 mpg normal driving. Can get up to about 14 on the highway. I've been very happy with it, tows 10,000 lbs well, but really drinks the gas towing.

I had a 2011 6.2. Loved it and regret getting rid of it. I averaged around 16mpg lifetime on 305s.

Louisiana wildlife and fisheries were switching from the 5.7 2500 to F250 6.2 when I left and the initial reports were overwhelming great.

ETA: mine was a F150.

I have 93K on my 2013 and have not had a problem with it. It's lifted with 37"s so I get 9.5-10MPG. We run a lot of these trucks in our fleet and they are very reliable and last forever.

Owned 3 with zero problems. Dogs without much power and milage sucks. Wish Ford would have kept the V-10... much better.
