Looking for reviews. And what mpg you may be getting?

Yes.

17 mpg to mid 20's mpg similar to my F150
Depends on if I am driving hwy or city.

I bought mine for fun play around town truck.
It is a 4x4, aftermarket leather interior, and aftermarket sports package done by the dealer.

Good truck - I'm just as satisfied as I was with the Silverado. It handles and parks better than the big truck. Mileage: 23mixed/26+hwy. You can get above stated mileage if you go slow. It tows 2500# like it's not there; I have not towed the max 7000# yet.

Mine is the longbed, crewcab with the V6 auto.

ETA: It is also a 2wd which may explain the higher mileage than above poster. My woman has a lead foot and can't get 20 mpg in town.

Don't wreck into the back of a 2500hd, or you'll regret getting a Colorado

Thanks. I'm considering downsizing. It's just me 95% of the time and I drive about 3000 miles a month. The only thing I tow is a 4 wheeler on a 5x8 trailer or my kayak in the bed.

The plastic covered bumper is what I dislike most about it. It looks expensive to replace.

Also, even though I like it and it does everything a truck should do, sometimes I accidentally refer to it as my "car". Is that some kinda Freudian slip? Never did that with the full size....

you buying new or used?

if you are buying used, then stay away from 2014 and 2015 chevy Colorado, Silverado, or the gmc canyon, sierra models.

20% of them have unfixable vibration issues on smooth roads at 65-70mph but ride fine on rough roads at those speeds. its a frame/suspension design flaw issue that only the general motors trucks of those 2 years had.

lots of them didn't have problems but 1 in 5 did and don't be fooled by someone telling you its a tire balance issue and sell you one of these lemon trucks that gm had to buy back and resell as used "as-is"

Just purchased a 2017 Crewcab shortbed Z71. I have put 3000 miles on it so far without any complaints. Mine has the V6 and I am getting 18.6 - 20.9 MPG per tank. I have yet to take it off-road but I am really interested to see how it responds.

I have an older one that has treated me very well if you have any questions about just the truck in general. No experience with the restart.

I have a 16 Canyon All Terrain. I have 8,200 miles on it, and have been happy. The auto 4 wheel drive system in the GMC is really nice.

Overall with 75% city driving I'm averaging 18.7. On the highway it's usually around 24.

I think it's a perfect size for 95% of people's truck needs.

I've only had 2 issues. The first is rattling in the passenger quarter panel from the speaker (this is apparently a common problem with the bose stereo), and a squeeking in the rear leaf springs (another problem I have found talked about on several forums).

One other quibble I have is with the transmission. It sometimes has trouble finding a gear around town at like 25-40 mph. Like if you push the pedal to accelerate it will hesitate to downshift and almost bog down a little. I think it may also partially just me being used to how far to press the pedal as I drove my last truck for 12 years and certainly got accustomed to it.

I had one hit me going 35 while I was stopped. My bumper got a dent, and my tailgate has a dent from his hood. His whole front end was smashed in so much, he couldn't get out of the front doors. Crumple zones = $$$

2016 Canyon SLT, 27K Miles.

It is a 6 speed the 17's are 8 speed

I average 22MPG on my 60 mile round trip work commute. To and from Florida last week I averaged 26MPG.

Great truck for my needs, just had the bumper replaced from rear end collision. Now have to get my 3k in hail damage fixed.

I have the Canyon with the Duramax diesel in it. I get 28-30 on the highway. Overall since I've had it I'm averaging 21.6.

I did my mpg for a trip to Toledo pulling my 18 foot fiberglass boat, and I got 20.1 mpg for the round trip.

if you get the 4 cylinder, you'll get about 25 mpg. but, it serves very little purpose when pulling or trying to pass another vehicle. that's for sure.
